PEORIA, Ill. – Each year, OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois cares for more children than any other hospital between St. Louis and Chicago, with 7,000 admissions, 2,500 newborn deliveries and 18,000 emergency room visits.
On Friday, John Riley and Nancy Flagg of Midwest Communications’ 93.3 The Drive, are broadcasting live from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. to raise money and awareness for the hospital with miraculous stories of the children it serves.
It’s the 23rd year of the “Drive for Miracles” event.
“The community has stepped up each and every year, and millions and millions of dollars raised…and we all know why, because we’re raising money to help out this facility, OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, that literally saves the lives of our kids 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,” Riley says.
100% of the money raised Friday stays here in Central Illinois to help provide lifesaving work, programs and services for children treated at OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois.
