EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The interim police chief in East Peoria could get the top job for good after Tuesday.
The East Peoria City Council is expected to vote on appointing Dave Catton as Chief.
Assuming Catton is indeed hired, a swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
Previous Chief Rich Brodrick retired at the end of May.
Catton has been deputy chief, rising through the ranks in 18 years with the city.
Detective Anthony Fisher is also expected to become sergeant as of Wednesday morning.
