PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man has learned his fate for the first of two homicides he is believed to have committed on New Years Day of last year.
Court records indicate a judge Friday sentenced Robert White, 28, to a total of 69 years in prison after being convicted last month of multiple counts of First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery.
White allegedly shot and killed Daniela Jackson, 33, during a party at a home on Southwest Adams Street.
Peoria County State’s Attorney Jodi Hoos claims the judge used the word “diabolical” in describing the death of Jackson and injury of another person.
“During the hearing, Daniella Jackson’s mother, Rosalyn Jackson, pleaded with White for answers,” said Hoos, in a news release. “She shared her struggle to forgive White, who had been a close family friend, and the heartache she has that Daniella’s life is over.”
White still is awaiting trial for the death of Bridget Ross, 35. which happened on Martin Luther King, Junior Drive about two hours after the first shooting
