MACKINAW, Ill. – A Creve Coeur man is dead after an accident at a powder coating facility.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says Bradley Willis, Jr., 42, was pronounced dead at a Peoria hospital about two and a half hours after Wednesday’s 5:07 a.m. accident at Mackinaw Valley Powder Coating in Mackinaw.
Harwood says Willis was pinned between a semi and the building for what was described as a matter of seconds before being freed.
Harwood says an autopsy Thursday determined Willis suffered multiple blunt-force crush injuries, along with what he called “severe irreversible internal bleeding.”
The cause of the incident is said to be under investigation.
