PEORIA, Ill. – A new mental health hospital will be coming to Peoria in the next couple years.
The Meadowview Behavioral Hospital will be a 64,000 square foot, 100-bed facility located on Illinois Route 91. The Illinois Health Facilities and Service Review Board approval a Certificate of Need application by OSF HealthCare and US HealthVest for the facility.
The investment into the facility is around $35 million and is expected to be open in late 2025.
Meadowview Behavioral Hospital plans to be a 24/7 facility with a crisis center that offers free assessments and specialized programs. It will also have partial hospitalization and provide outpatient programs.
“We are pleased to move forward with constructing what will be the largest behavioral health hospital south of Chicago and the ninth largest in Illinois,” said Michael Cruz, M.D., Chief Operating Officer, OSF HealthCare.
