PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. – A Hanna City man has been arrested for the sixth time this year in Peoria County — this time for allegedly attempting to set a home on fire.
The Peoria County Sheriffs Department says William Tillman, 40, is charged with Attempted Arson. Jail records indicate a charge of Criminal Charge to Property is not being filed.
25 News reports authorities believe a neighbor and the homeowner witnessed Tillman pouring gas on the side of a home on North Carole Avenue in Hanna City Wednesday, also threatening to kill the resident and neighbors.
But, when Tillman tried to get inside the home and couldn’t, authorities say the eyewitnesses saw Tillman walk away.
All six arrests reportedlly had to do with the same home.
Tillman is, for now, jailed on $50,000 bond.
