PEORIA, Ill. – If your campaign or business sign is in a spot where it shouldn’t be, the city of Peoria will be taking it.
Public Works will start removing signs deemed illegally placed starting Wednesday.
The city says that includes signs placed in medians and the areas between the curb and sidewalk.
A city ordinance also states that signs on residential properties be no bigger than eight square feet, while the limit for non-residential properties is 32 square feet.
All collected signs will be held at the Department of Public Works at 3505 N. Dries Lane.
