PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are announcing details about an alleged suspect in a shooting from over the weekend and they’re asking for the public’s help.
It happened just before 7:15 a.m. Saturday in an area of East Republic Street and North Central Avenue.
Police say when they pulled up to the scene, they found an adult female with apparent gunshot wounds.
She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say their investigation led them to Kevin L. Boyce Jr., 29. However, officers have not been able to locate the man and are asking for the public’s help.
He’s wanted on charges of Aggravated Battery with Firearm, Domestic Battery, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Criminal Damage to Property.
Boyce is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached and police say the weekend shooting is still under investigation.
