PEORIA, Ill. – Seven people were injured due to four overnight shooting incidents in Peoria.
Three of the victims are reported to be in critical condition.
Peoria Police responded to the first shooting about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 2400 block of North Sheridan Rd.
Police found a 20-year old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg.
She was transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Police were called to second incident reported in the 2700 block of Montana around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officers found a 25-year-old man down in the street with gunshot wounds to the shoulder and leg.
He is reported to be in critical condition.
Police say they later found a crime scene in the 2700 block of West Trewyn that was related to the shooting.
The third incident occurred about 10 minutes later, as police were called to the 1400 block of S.W. Jefferson Ave. on a report of 37 rounds fired.
According the media release from Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson, officers located two male victims in a parking lot. The victims reported 22 and 29 years of age.
Both victims suffered gunshot wounds to their torso and legs and were transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
“A third victim, a 31 year old female, arrived via private vehicle to Peoria Police Headquarters with a gunshot wound to the leg. She was then transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury,” said Dotson.
A fourth victim, an 18 year old female, arrived at the hospital via private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the arm.
Her injury is reported to be not life threatening.
Peoria Police say it’s not known if these shootings are connected in any way.
