PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are investigating a homicide at a North Peoria apartment complex.
Police responded to The Grove Apartments on Candlelight Court just after 10:45 A.M. Sunday on reports of a person shot.
They found a 38-year-old woman in a hallway residence with an apparent gunshot wound.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her identity and cause of death will be released by the Peoria County Coroner’s Office.
If it is ruled a homicide, it would be the first in Peoria in 2025.
Peoria Police currently do not have any suspects.
