BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – An Illinois State University employee arrested earlier this week on felony sex charges is now out of jail.
25 News reports Alan Bates, 52, of Bloomington posted $100,000 bond to get out of jail.
This, after a grand jury indicted him earlier this week on four counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault.
Bates allegedly had sexual contact with a child between October 2007 and October of 2015.
He’s a professor and director of ISU’s College of Teaching and Learning.
A spokesperson for the school declined to tell 25 News on Friday if Bates is still an employee.
An arraignment hearing is scheduled for September eighth.
