PEORIA, Ill. – Federal prosecutors say four Peoria residents face charges after allegedly trying to stealing guns from six different stores in six different central Illinois locations.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Terrence Daniels, 23, Dezmond Hardy, 22, Erika Garner, 21, and Shaleik Ward, 19, all face charges of Conspiring to Steal Guns from a federal firearms licensee.
The four allegedly broke into a Spring Valley gun dealer on Monday of last week, breaking into another dealer in Taylorville the day later.
Authorities also believe the four broke in to gun stores in Le Roy, Lincoln, Decatur, and Bloomington.
All four are in the custody of U.S. Marshals. Ward is scheduled to be back in court on Friday, while Hardy and Garner have court dates next Wednesday. Daniels doesn’t have another court date set.
