EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Police in East Peoria say they have turned over to the Tazewell County Sheriffs Department the investigation into a crash on the edge of the city’s downtown area.
East Peoria Police say the crash at Main and Camp Streets happened around 11:45 a.m. Monday.
While it was first reported as a “head-on” collision, police report no serious injuries, with medical care being refused.
The investigation into the crash was given to sheriffs deputies because one of the two vehicles involved was a City of East Peoria vehicle, so the transfer of the investigation to sheriffs deputies was according to department policy.
No further details have been released.
