PEKIN, Ill. – A Tazewell County man has been convicted of murder after a body was found inside a burning home more than two years ago.
Court records indicate Matthew Null, 41, was convicted Thursday of Murder and Aggravated Arson.
A home on Gunion Avenue in Pekin was set on fire in April 10th of 2021, with Kailey Windish, 31, pronounced dead.
25 News reports Windish likely died before the fire, after being strangled.
A sentencing date is not yet known.
