PEORIA, Ill. — The Wheels O’ Time Museum in Dunlap is celebrating 40 years in operation.
The museum that was originally made to display a collection of interesting vehicles belonging to two couples, has grown to over six buildings and five train cars all on display.
The cruise back in time is now bigger than it’s ever been, with the addition of jukeboxes, a music room and other items from yesteryear.
Laura Evancho, the museum’s executive director, tells 25 News, learning about the past is something everyone can enjoy, and it’s a service that they’re glad to provide.
“When we see the future generations and the young people coming in with their grandparents and all ages are enjoying the exhibits here in this step back in time, we know we’re fulfilling our mission,” Evancho said.
She adds, it’s remarkable that what began as a small non-profit museum all those years ago is still running strong today.
