PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria Heights man is now pleading guilty to setting a fire in Peoria Heights last November.
Peoria County court records indicate Skylar Walker, 32, pleaded guilty last week to a charge of Residential Arson, and was sentenced to ten years in prison, with credit for 106 days served in jail.
Walker set a home on East Rouse Avenue in Peoria Heights on fire last October 23rd, causing what officials called “catastrophic damage” at the time.
The Journal Star reports Walker admitted to setting the fire because the home’s owner had been picking on him, and because he was high on drugs.
