PEORIA, Ill. – An autopsy on Peoria’s 17th homicide victim of the year confirms the victim died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Coroner Jamie Harwood released that information Tuesday in the case involving Jamarion Lee, 24, who was pronounced dead about a half hour after the shooting on West Adrian Hinton Avenue in South Peoria.
Police went to that location around 6:30 Saturday morning after a ShotSpotter alert indicated a dozen rounds being fired.
Harwood is not releasing any other details about Lee’s death.
No suspects are so far believed to be in custody.
