PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say they’ve arrested the man responsible for a shooting that happened towards the beginning of the month.
Police say Joseph Pate, 38, was arrested Thursday, and faces charges including Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Officials say Pate was identified as a suspect in the June 9th shooting first reported on North Ellis, with a victim being found on West Main.
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Pate is now in the Peoria County Jail, and officers say the investigation continues.
