PEORIA, Ill. – A technology firm based in Brazil is expanding to the United States, and one of the places it’s coming to is Peoria.
The company is called Manusis4, and it’s described as specializing in asset management.
The company says it’s valued at only $10 million, but it grew its revenue by 70 percent last year, and will also be expanding into Boston and Pittsburgh.
Manusis4 says it’s developed a system that anticipates potential failures and warns about them ahead of time.
“With the use of advanced technology, it is possible to manage assets and link data from a company from different sectors, such as industry, food, agribusiness, hospitals, logistics, among others,” said Rodrigo Rotondo, CEO, Manusis4, in a news release. “This is how our system is notified that a machine in a hospital needs repair – without even before it stops working, for example. And this same dynamic can be extended to other sectors. All this generates savings, makes the company more sustainable and smarter, as it reduces waste, besides reducing risks.”
It’s not clear where in Peoria the firm will locate, but the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council says in an e-mail the firm will house both an office and a showroom in Peoria.
