PEKIN, Ill. – A social media-based threat made to a school in Pekin has been determined to be not credible.
That’s according to Edison Junior High Principal William Heisel. He tells our news partner 25 News he became aware of a threat made toward the school on Saturday morning, and it was reported right away to police.
Parents were then made aware on Saturday, and updated on Sunday, when someone was arrested for the threat.
There was a police presence at Edison Monday nonetheless.
Further details on the arrest were not available.
