PEORIA, Ill. — All of Peoria’s residential areas have been cleared of snow as of Friday morning.
Peoria Snow Fighters will now focus on clearing the downtown area…moving into the alleys.
On a related note, Peoria’s trash and recycling collection, which was delayed by Wednesday’s snow storm, has resumed.
Eric Shangraw, spokesperson for GFL in Peoria, told WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show”, if Friday was your scheduled trash and recycling day, they will picked up on Saturday.
Shangraw is asking Peoria residents to be mindful of where they put their trash carts after the snow.
“Please take the time to dig them out for our guys. They don’t carry snow shovels or little mini snow blowers around to get to those carts, and when they’re covered in snow, they can weigh a lot,” Shangraw said.
