PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man has been convicted in a stabbing death that occurred about five months ago.
Court records indicate a jury found Micah Gordon, 55, guilty of First-Degree Murder. He’s scheduled for sentencing March 24th.
Gordon was arrested August 25th after Rolando Westbrook, 37, was found in the street on Northeast Jefferson Street and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gordon was found later in the day and taken into custody.
He could face anywhere from 20 years in prison, to life.
The Peoria Journal Star reports there was confusion in the courtroom as the verdict was read, because the jurors filled out the wrong forms.
