PEORIA, Ill. — UnityPoint Health has expanded COVID-19 testing to all patients admitted to the hospital.
This includes asymptomatic individuals of all ages with planned admission and transfers who have not been tested for the virus 72 hours prior.
The expansion in testing allows UnityPoint Health to help identify more positive cases of coronavirus and carry out the appropriate contact tracing in the community.
Paitents and hospital staff who showed signs of COVID-19 have already been tested.
