Is your mind like mine, always worried about the kids, always thinking, always wondering, always going 100mph…never stopping to give you any break or rest? Working from home, plus making sure the kids are getting all their schoolwork done and keeping busy, just adds to the busy mind. As I sat outside yesterday morning with my cup of coffee, staring off into the woods rubbing my forehead as I thought about the day ahead, I looked down and read the words on my cup. “make it happen“.
So today, or maybe tomorrow or the next day…let’s “make it happen” and take some much needed “Me Time“. I know this is easier said than done, but try, please, to set some time for yourself. Maybe it’s a longer shower or time in the tub, doing your nails, having a date night at home with your partner. Something to help slow down your mind, to help drop your shoulders that have been up by your ears from the stress, to help things seem a little more normal than they have been the past few weeks.
I’ll meet you out on the deck for a cup of coffee, we’ll talk, we’ll laugh, we’ll forget about our worries for 20 minutes. Deal?
