While most of central Illinois seems to be self isolating, we have been meeting coming up with plans on what can we do as a community while we all go through the Coronavirus pandemic. Hungry and tired, I stumbled to get a Snickers bar out of the vending machine in our break room only to find….this. One lone chair sitting about 2 feet away from the vending machine, basking in the glow of the nearby soda machine. I wondered to myself, what could possibly be the reason for this? Was it simply that someone, who doesn’t have cable, was bored with watching T.V. so they sat in front of the vending machine? Could it be that they were just too tired to stand and try to decide on which snack they were going to choose? Most likely it was a question of possible germs…do I touch the buttons, reach through the machine door and grab a snack that I don’t know who has touched it.
We all seem to be on the edge, but I know this is something we will all get through together. That’s just what we do because we are awesome.
Wash your hands…again, please and stop touching your face.
