Something you most likely know about me, is that I’m a big believer in the fact that good nutrition is important to a long, healthy life. If your kids are anything like mine, they beg for meals of things they love and are likely not the most healthy…but full of flavor and fat. My daughter Becca, on more than one occasion, would look down at her plate with a puzzled look on her face that didn’t just say “what the heck is this”, it screamed it.
I have been known to sit for hours looking at recipes that are not only tasty, but incredibly nutritious as well to make sure my family stayed healthy and feeling good. Always on the look out for low calorie meals that are packed with the right about of protein, carbohydrates and fat…not to mention that are quick and easy to prepare. But then the weekend comes.
Weekends, in my newly formed opinion, are made for baking and enjoying the goodness of the ‘not so nutritious’. So eat up my friends…just don’t eat the entire dish of brownies in one sitting.
Trust me on this.
