But then a guy who seemed to be about my age walked in to place a to-go order, doing the one big thing that drives me crazy! It’s then that I realized it had nothing to do with age, but it’s just the way some people are.
If you and I are talking on the phone and I happen to be about to go into the check out lane, or maybe in this case, place an order to go…I’ll either ask if you can hold on and mute the phone, or just simple call you back. As I’m standing off to the side waiting for my Tacos Al Pastor to be ready, in walks a guy on his phone. Okay, that’s cool and isn’t the problem…but he had the person on speaker phone at full volume and he was even talking as if he were working the line in a noisy factory. EVERYONE in the restaurant heard his conversation as he walked in, and the funny part was he lowered his voice when he placed his order.
Is it just me and I need to relax because this is normal, or does it seem to you like a bit much also?
