The door to an already full elevator opened, the woman glanced in and politely said she would catch the next one. “Pish posh woman, get on, there’s plenty of room!” She slowly stepped on and softly asked someone to push “one”.
What do you do when you step into an elevator and there is someone already standing there when you step in? Do you make eye contact? Look down and push your button? What about when even more people get on? Will you start a conversation? Maybe do what I did and tell everyone to smile because you’re going to take an elevator selfie?
The soft spoken woman who didn’t want to get on the crowded elevator? That’s her squeezing in the picture at the bottom left with a smile in her eyes.
