Ahhhhh….Winter. It’s usually this time of year that I let my mind wander thinking about warmer climates to warm my bones. Gone are the days that I could spend the entire day out sledding or on the ski slope with temps down near zero, now I think of warmth.
As I was out with Lola the Wonder Dog the other day, I stood there looking out over the grass that crunched under Lola’s tiny chihuahua paws thinking this winter hasn’t been too bad this year. Temperatures in the 30’s and 2 or 3 inches of snow now and then isn’t too bad for this time of year.
Then BOOM…wind, dropping temperatures, snow….winter. Blech! But even when we get some snow and chilly conditions, I have to admit that is sure is pretty. That fresh snow that covers the trees, a new blanket covering the leaves that didn’t get raked up in the fall. It’s quiet…it’s…nice.
