I admit, I get a little nosey when I go places like a Doctor office. I don’t (usually) touch things that I shouldn’t, but I’ve been known to take a picture of things I find a little…odd. ‘Staff Use Only’ in all upper case letters the typed label stuck across the front of the hand sanitizer read. Standing there with my arms crossed in somewhat of a ‘hold on a cotton pickin minute here’ stance, I wondered why I was not allowed the Purell from the apparent ‘for important people only’ dispenser. The thing about me, and most of the population I’ve noticed, is we tend to get a little cranky when we don’t feel well, especially if we are sick enough to actually go see a Doctor about it.
Taking a deep breath, I calmed my self down and realized that if all of us are there compliments of the Cold and Flu season, then we are the last people who should be touching ANYTHING in that office. Doctors, Nurses and anyone else working there has already put their health on the line to try to make us feel better, the least we can do is let them have their own uncontaminated Purell dispenser.
Wash your hands often, cough and sneeze into your elbow, don’t shake someones hand, drink your fluids, rest and remember to be nice to people who just want you to feel better.
