PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) — A man and his dog were left with no place to go Monday morning after a fire destroyed their home.
The fire call came in around 4:00 a.m. Monday from the 1500 block of Greenlawn Street.
Fire officials said everyone made it out safely.
Officials also said the fire went through the roof and it made the second floor too hot for firefighters to get inside the home.
Firefighters remained on the scene several hour to put out hot spots.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
